Padron „1964 Diplomatico“ Maduro

Brewed with cinnamon and orange peel

Color: very nice clear brown with a tinge of red

Nose: malty, sweet, rye bread
First Sip: fresh, a little spices, malty sweet, I can´t taste the cinnamon and orange peel on it´s own. But that is not necessary. Maybe that´s way the first sip is so nice. A little caramel.
Mouth: Like the first Sip, a little chocolate, fine discreet carbon acid, light coffee.
At the End: It stays malty sweet with a hint of hop, still some spices and caramel and a hint of chocolate. If you leaf the beer for a while it has even more and darker chocolate (like a 60% one).

Conclusion: A nice not to heavy body beer. It´s nice and balanced. I had that beer in my Christmas Calendar and I couldn´t find it on the homepage so I think it´s a winter beer but you could drink it all year around. It´s very nice. If I had a wish for the next brew I would say a little more cinnamon and orange.

This beer with a cigar? Yes – and I would say you could drink it with every cigar.

Padron „1964 Diplomatico“ Maduro

Well i don´t think that i have to tell people from the American Continent about a Padron Cigar as they are a lot more popular as in Germany. J

Das Bier wird mit Zimt und Orangenschalen gebraut.

Farbe: wunderschönes klares Braun mit einem Rotstich
Nase: Malzig, süß, Roggenbrot
Antrunk: Frisch, leichte Gewürze, Malzig süß, die Zimt und Orangen Noten nehme ich allerdings nicht gesondert war. Das macht aber nichts. Vielleicht macht es gerade deshalb den Antrunk sehr lecker. Etwas Karamell vielleicht.
Am Gaumen: Weiterhin wie im Antrunk, etwas Schokolade, feine dezent carbonisiert. Leichter Kaffee.
Abgang: Es bleibt malzig süßlich mit einem feinen Hauch Hopfen. Weiterhin etwas Gewürze und Karamell und ein feiner Hauch von Schokolade. Echt gut. Lässt man es etwas stehen sogar recht viel Schokolade (60%)

Fazit: Ein schönes vom Körper nicht zu schweres Bier. Sehr Rund und ausgewogen. Da ich das Bier im Weihnachtskalender hatte und es nicht auf der Homepage finde denke ich ist es als Weihnachtsbier gedacht. Dazu kann ich nur sagen, das man es ohne Probleme über das ganze Jahr trinken kann. Sehr lecker. Wenn ich einen Wunsch frei hätte bitte etwas mehr Zimt und Orange für das nächste mal.

Passt das Bier zur Zigarre? Ja - ich behaupte fast zu jeder

Eine feine Zigarre. Allerdings ist die Maduro schon auf der pfeffrigen Seite. Ich gestehe, ich bevorzuge die Natural. Trotzdem ist es ein wunderbarer Smoke und alle die noch keine Padron geraucht haben und sich mal was gönnen wollen sollten die Natural mal testen.
