Leonel „Terre Rouge“ Belicoso (with Test Review)

It is a homage to one of the Pionier of Rock n` Roll: Chuck Berry

Color: cloudy gold yellow or darker Amber
Nose: sweet malty, a little fruit reminds me at an Orange, a touch of yeast, a little wood
First Sip: fizzy but earthy, wood, a little sour touch, a little lemon/citrus
Mouth: now you have discreet Bourbon sweet touch, little caramel, a little malty, fizzy because of a lot of carbon acid, medium body, a little fruity
At the End: at the beginning fruity malty, a hint of lemon, after that yeast and wood, a hint of roasted malt. The tongue gets dry very fast and you want the next sip. Yummy

Conclusion: At the first sip it is a nice fizzy beer. A little late you have a nice Bourbon sweetish and wooden touch. The body is light to medium. At the end it gets a little dry but still fizzy because of quiet a lot of carbon acid. I liked the beer even if I have to give deductions in the B note because what i´m missing is more Bourbon Whiskey or lets say the Whiskey touch. Because I don´t know how long it aged in the Barrel but I would say give it a few more month even if the beer gets a little more expensive.
Now at about 8 degree Celsius the Bourbon sweetish touch is a lot more present. Very nice. Yummy

This beer and a cigar? Yes – but I would recommend the medium to full-body cigars

Cold: perfect draught, nougat, chocolate, wood, earth, licorice
First third: perfect draught, full-bodied, full-flavoured/spicy, licorice, pepper, chocolate, honey sweetish, a little espresso, a little toast.
Second third: perfect draught, coffee, earthy, full-flavoured/spicy but a little less, chocolate, a little pepper, cold coffee, creamy sweet, a hint of cinnamon, walnut, chocolate cookies.
Last third: perfect draught, now more full-flavoured/spicy again, cookies, nougat, still creamy, Nut, toast, earth, licorice, caramel and dark chocolate.
Points: 87,5 but only because of the bad burn of one of the cigars. We all would smoke the cigar again no doubt.

Es ist die Hommage an ein Pionier des Rock n` Rolls: Chuck Berry

Farbe: trübes Gold Gelb, dunkler Bernstein
Nase: süßlich malzig, etwas fruchtiges an Orange erinnernd, ein Hauch von Hefe, leicht Holz
Antrunk: spritzig aber erdig, Holz, säuerlicher Touch, leichte Zitrone
Am Gaumen: jetzt kommt dezent die Bourbon süße durch, leichter Karamell, leicht malzig. Spritzig auf Grund der ausgeprägten Kohlensäure. Körper eher mittel. Leicht fruchtig.
Abgang: Anfänglich fruchtig malzig etwas Zitrone, dann Hefe und Holz etwas Röstmalz, Hopfen. Die Zunge wird schnell trocken und man will mehr. Lecker

Fazit: Ein Bier das im Antrunk angenehm spritzig ist. Dann kommt die Bourbon Süße gepaart mit Holz Aromen raus. Der Körper ist leicht bis mittel schwer. Im Abgang wird es leicht trocken trotz der für mich schönen ausgeprägten Kohlensäure. Ich fand dieses Bier lecker auch wenn es Abzüge in der B Note gibt, denn ich finde es könnte mehr die Bourbon Whiskey Note betonen. Da ich nicht weiß wie lange es im Faß lagert vielleicht ein paar Monate mehr auch wenn es dann evtl. etwas mehr kosten würde.
Jetzt hat das Bier ca. 8 Grad und die Bourbon Süße ist noch präsenter. Wird immer besser ;-) Lecker

Passt dieses Bier zur Zigarre? Ja – zu den mittel kräftigen bis kräftigen Zigarren.

Kaltzug: Schön verarbeitet mit feinen aber manchmal scharfen Rippen. Perfekt, Nougat, Schokolade, Holz, Erde, Lakritz
Erstes Drittel: Perfekter Zug, vollmundig, würzig, Lakritz, Pfeffer, Schokolade, Honig süße, leichte Espresso Noten, schöner voller Rauch, etwas Toast.
Zweites Drittel: Perfekter Zug, Kaffee, erdig, würzig aber leicht nachlassend, Schokolade, leichter Pfeffer, kalter Kaffee, cremig Süß, leichte Zimt Noten, Walnuss, Choco Cookies.
Drittes Drittel: Perfekter Zug, noch würziger, Cookies, Nougat, immer noch cremig, Nuss, Toast, Erde, Lakritz, Karamell, dunkle Schokolade
Punkte: 87,5 auch wenn das jetzt nicht nach viel kling ist es dem Schiefbrand zu verdanken. Es war trotzdem bei allen Testern eine Empfehlung zum testen und rauchen.
