Amazing what you find on the backside label. Date of expiry 2032 !!!

Color: nearly bright black
Nose: dark roasted malt, raisins, dark chocolate, dried fruit, a hint of licorice, my girls (non smoker) says cigar :-D
First Sip: very creamy, full-bodied, very rare carbon acid, chocolate cake nearly as a Sacher torte(cake), along with nice hop dry touch. Dried fruit. Sweetish, a little dry although the first sip is a little Stout bitter. Perfect-brilliant
Mouth: rich and concentrated, coffee, still dried fruit, Vanilla, dark chocolate, fruity, sweet malty touch, chocolate sweet with a dry touch. It´s dry touch is there but goes almost under the fruity chocolates sweet. Could nearly be a liqueur. Is the first sip already fantastic it gets even better. Fantastic Stout
At the End: still rich and concentrated like a liqueur, now as the beer gets a little warmer I feel the nearly 10% alcohol and it´s nice. Nice coffee and dark chocolate aroma with sweet roasted malt and some hop bitterness but this bitterness is nice and it comes and goes away again. Genius

Conclusion: I had my favorite chocolate Stout so far but this one comes very very close lets say up to 97% close and this one is a third of the price. I could go on to adore for this beer but I must say try for your self. This beer is done by a real professional brewer. My second Schönramer beer and the second time exceptionally good.

This beer and a cigar? YES and with this cigar very good. Only the very mild and light ones not so good i would say.

Cold: cacao, coffee, coffee beans, peat, spicy, three times perfect draught one time a little heavy

First Third: chocolate, nutty, coffee, spices, creamy spicy, sweetish, chocolate mocha, cedar wood, smooth start, creamy sweetness.

Second Third: stays mild, roasted coffee beans, still coffee, chocolate, toast, cinnamon, Lemon, peat, cedar wood, a little earth, mild with littles spices.

Last Third: pleasurable mild, nutty, spicy (clove), cinnamon, still coffee and chocolate, earth, gets smoother, no bitterness at all.

Conclusion: A fantastic cigar. But careful! This is a After Dinner cigar. As mild and creamy it taste as much power she hast. On the strength was between 5-7/7. With its size of 6x60 it looks huge but if you start smoking it has something elegant. Smoking time between 70-110 min. I think I need a box of this. I will not tell you now what other 3 cigars we had in the blind test but 3 times this was the Number 1 and one time Number 2. Wonderful cigar !!

Was bei diesem Stout schnell ins Auge fällt wenn man sich mit dem Etikett auf der Rückseite beschäftigt, ist das Haltbarkeitsdatum. Dieses Bier ist bis 2032 haltbar. Wahnsinn

Farbe: fast glänzendes Schwarz, just black ;-)
Nase: dunkle Röstmalze, Rosinen, dunkle Schokolade, Dörrobst, leicht Lakritz, meine Frau sagt Zigarre :-D
Antrunk: sehr cremig, vollmundig, wenig Kohlensäure, Schokoladenkuchen fast wie eine Sachertorte, dazu angenehme Hopfen Herbe Note. Dörrobst. Süßlich, leicht herb wobei der erste Antrunk sogar angenehm leicht bitter ist. Hammer geiles Stout
Gaumen: ölig, Kaffee, weiter Dörrobst, Vanille, dunkle Schokolade, fruchtig schokoladig süß mit herben Touch. Das Herbe ist da aber geht fast unter bei der fruchtig Schokoladen süße. Könnte fast ein Likör sein. Ist der erste Schluck schon genial es wird mit jedem Schluck besser.
Abgang: weiterhin ölig Likör artig, es wird etwas wärmer und jetzt spürt man die 9,5% Alkohol angenehm. Schöne Kaffee und dunkle Schokoladen Noten mit wunderbaren süßen Röstmalzen und etwas Hopfen Bitterkeit, der aber jetzt wirklich eher zwischendrin auftaucht und dann wieder Platz macht. Genial
Fazit: Ich hatte ja bisher meinen absoluten Favoriten beim Schokoladen Stout aber dieses Stout hat das Zeug dazu auf 97% gleich zu ziehen und das bei fast einem Drittel des Preises. Ich könnte jetzt weiter schwärmen aber ihr solltet es selbst probieren. Hammer Mega Geil. Hier weiß man wirklich das ein Profi gebraut hat und der sich eh schon einen Namen gemacht hat. Das war jetzt das zweite Schönramer und wieder unglaublich tolles Bier.

Dieses Bier mit einer Zigarre? JA - hervorragend mit dieser Zigarre. Beides unterstützt sich. Nur bei den ganz milden würde ich es lassen. Dafür ist es zu sehr ein Stout und hat hier etwas zu viel Hopfen.

Kalt: Kakao, Kaffee, Schokolade, Kaffeebohnen, torfig, würzig, Zug war 3x hervorragend und einmal etwas kräftiger.

Erstes Drittel: Schokolade, nussig, Kaffee, Gewürz, cremig würzig, süßlich, Schokoladen Mokka, Zedernholz, sanfter runder Start, cremige Süße.

Zweites Drittel: bleibt mild, gerösteter Kaffee, weiterhin Kaffee, Schokolade, Toast, Zimt, Zitrone, Torf, Zedernholz, leicht Erdig, mild mit leichter Würze.

Drittes Drittel: angenehm mild, nussig, würziger (Nelke), Zimt, immer noch Kaffee und Schokolade, erdige Töne, wird etwas weicher, keine Bitterkeit.

Fazit: Eine fantastische Zigarre. Aber Vorsicht, dies ist eine After Dinner Zigarre. So Mild und cremig sie schmeckt so viel Kraft hat Sie auch. Stärkenbeschreibung 5-7/7. Mit einem Ringmaß von 60 und einer Länge von 15cm wirkt sie im ersten Moment schon gewaltig aber hat man sich erst einmal dran gewöhnt hat sie was Elegantes. Rauchdauer: 70-110 Minuten. Für mich steht fest, das ich mir von dieser Zigarrenlinie eine Kiste besorgen werde. Ohne zu verraten welches die anderen 3 Zigarren waren aber sie ist dreimal auf Platz 1 gelandet und einmal auf Platz zwei. Wunderbare Zigarre!!

Erstes Drittel: guter Zug, solider Abbrand, schokoladig, Lakritz, Nelken, Zedernholz, verhaltene Würze, helles Holz, ausgewogen, Hauch von Zimt, leichte süße, heller Kakao (Instant), Erde, Hauch Leder, leichte süße, ein wenig Nuss, Schokolade

Zweites Drittel: Kaffee, Malz, nussig, Zedernholz, Eiche, Tee, trockenes Grass, grüner Tee, schöne feste Asche hell/mittel, starke Malztöne, etwas würziger, Erde, Nuss, schöner runder Abbrand, Heu/Stroh (kein Gras)

Alle waren der Meinung das der Preis für eine Zigarre aus Deutschland die auch noch in Deutschland Handgemacht ist absolut angemessen ist. Rauchdauer: 75-101 Minuten.

Color: a little cloudy gold yellow
Nose: Citrus, Mango, a hint of Berries (but I would say i´m influenced by the notice on the label), a little malt and some hop.
First Sip: fresh, hop, not too much Citrus, fine carbon acid, a very little creamy. NICE
Mouth: fresh, a little more hop, malt, the fruit is still there but steps a little in the background.
At The End: At the beginning still some fruit but the hop takes over. But still the hop is not to dry/harsh. I would say it is the aroma hop. Very pleasant.

Conclusion: Yes this is an IPA and I like it, neither the Citrus or the hop are too dominant. I would drink this beer with food which has enough taste of its own. I liked this IPA and i´m looking forward to some more beer from Finne to taste for you.

This beer and a cigar? No and Yes – I only would suggest an aromatic/spicy cigar. It´s not the Citrus it is the hop that makes me say this. The hop is not too dominant in the beer himself but for a cigar a little too much or like I said you need a powerful cigar. But that is just my taste.

Finne Brauerei „IPA“ Natürlich von Finne ein Bio Bier
Querida Robusto by Woermann Cigars

Farbe: leicht trübes Goldgelb
Nase: Citrus, Mango, ein Hauch Beeren (glaub aber fast das ich von Etikett beeinflusst bin), leichter Malzton und etwas Hopfen
Antrunk: frisch, Hopfen, nicht zu viel Citrus, feine Kohlensäure, ganz leicht cremig. Schön
Gaumen: frisch, etwas mehr Hopfen, Malz, die Frucht ist da tritt aber etwas in den Hintergrund.
Abgang: Anfangs noch etwas Frucht die aber dann vom Hopfen verdrängt wird. Trotzdem ist der Hopfen nicht zu herb. Das muss am Aroma Hopfen liegen. Sehr Angenehm

Fazit: Also man hat wirklich ein IPA vor sich aber was mir gefällt ist das weder die Citrus Noten noch der Hopfen zu dominant sind. Passt hervorragend zu Gerichten mit starkem Eigengeschmack. Ich fand dieses Bier echt lecker und freue mich auf weitere Biere von Finne.

Dieses Bier und Zigarre? Jaein – also wenn dann nur zu den würzigen Zigarren. Es liegt nicht am Citrus Ton sondern am Hopfen. Er ist zwar nicht zu dominant aber doch präsent und da sollte die Zigarre schon genug Würze haben um mit dem Bier zu harmonieren. Bei der Querida frühestens ab der Hälfte.

Today is Bavarian Day ;-) Bavarian Weißbier meets Bavarian cigar

Color: cloudy straw yellow
Nose: summer freshness. Citrus Aroma, a hint of banana, Wheat and a little malt. It smells fresher as most of the other representatives of it´s kind. I like it very much.
First Sip: dainty, fresh but smooth nearly velvet creamy, the typical Weissbeer taste is present but a little different. Aromatic with nice citrus aroma. A hint of a sourness. Very Yummy
Mouth: as nice as the first sip, the aroma stays, a little banana but a lot less as used to it in a Weissbeer (Weißbier). Very pleasant present but fine carbon acid. Great
At the End: A little like multivitamin if it were not the sweet citrus taste. Also nice is the usage of the wheat malt, yeast and a very little hop. Great, Yummy.

Conclusion: A great summer Weissbeer (Weißbier, Weizen). The citrus aroma gives this beer a nice freshness without being dominant. Yes it is a Weissbeer but unusual fresh. Also the hint of sourness from the first sip to the end fits perfect. Now as i´m writing the review i also have a hint wine on my palate. TOP product of Tilmans Beer.

This beer and a cigar? YES – even if I always say that citrus (Lemon) and cigar is risky but in a Weissbeer with it´s sweetish touch and nearly no hop it´s absolutely fine. Even a mild cigar could work out because of the little sour touch in this beer.

La Bavaria – Die Bayerische Zigarre - mit Testergebnis
Heute mal ein Bayerischer Tag. Weißbier aus Bayern und Zigarre aus Bayern

Farbe: trübes Strohgelb
Nase: sommerliche Frische, Citus Noten, etwas Banane, Weizen und ein wenig Malz. Es riecht frischer wie andere Vertreter und ich finde das Super klasse.
Antrunk: fein, frisch und doch weich fast samtig cremig, der typische Weißbier Geschmack ist da und doch etwas anders. Würzig mit schönen Citrus Aromen. Ein Hauch von säuerlicher Note. Sehr lecker
Am Gaumen: So schön wie der Antrunk, die Aromen bleiben, ein klein wenig Banane aber viel weniger wie bei Weißbier gewohnt. Sehr angenehme präsente aber feine Kohlensäure. Klasse
Abgang: Fast in Richtung Multivitamin wenn da nicht der süßliche Citrus Geschmack wäre. Auch schön der Einsatz des Weizenmalzes, Hefe und ein winziges bisschen von Hopfen. Sau lecker

Fazit: Ein wunderbares Sommer Weißbier oder WEIZEN J. Die Citrus Aromen geben diesem Bier diese schöne Frische ohne dabei zu dominieren. Ja es ist ein Weißbier und doch ungewohnt frisch. Auch zieht sich eine leicht säuerliche Note vom Antrunk bis zum Abgang durch was wiederum perfekt passt. Jetzt beim Schreiben hab ich sogar eine ganz leichte Wein Note. Top Produkt vom Tilman.

Passt das Bier zur Zigarre? JA – auch wenn ich oft Citrus als sehr gewagt mit einer Zigarre sehe ist es beim Weißbier auf Grund der Süße und des fast nicht vorhanden Hopfen absolut kein Thema. Auch milde Zigarren und hier sogar noch auf Grund der leicht säuerlichen Note sehr gut. Der Hauch von Wein im Abgang unterstützt die milden Zigarren etwas.

Today we have a Bavarian interpretation of an English Classical beer Style. Only brewed with German hop.

Color: natural cloudy gold yellow
Nose: terrific fresh, mandarin, fruit, a little yeast and a little hop. But the freshness is awesome
First Sip: nearly creamy, smooth with perfect usage of carbon acid, mandarin, honey, and like it is in the nose. TOP
Mouth: Fruity, fresh, a little more hop, a little yeast, bitter orange, fabulous good
At the End: now the hop is present but also volatilises quite quickly and it stays a little bitter Orange marmalade with just a touch sweetness on your tongue. SUPER interpretation

Conclusion: what should I write? That this Pale Ale impressed me? Yes it does totally. It is exactly this fresh and fruit mix with the discreet but present hop what makes me enthusiastic about it. Also that we have mandarin and orange and even not citrus that is what I like so much. Also this smooth body with it´s freshness is great. OK I stop now with my enthusiasm. ;-)

This beer and a cigar? Yes and No – if you have a spicy cigar yes. In this case I had a mild but spicy cigarros and it was a good pairing. Both helped each other a little. The beer gets even a little more orange and the cigarros more fruit. Nice

Chazz Cigarros Seleccion Dominicana

Heute eine Bayerische Interpretation des englischen Klassiker. Nur mit deutschen Hopfensorten gebraut.

Farbe: naturtrübes Goldgelb
Nase: unheimlich frisch, Mandarine, Frucht, etwas Hefe und etwas Hopfen. Aber diese Frische ist der Hammer
Antrunk: fast schon cremig, weich mit perfektem Einsatz von Kohlensäure, Mandarine, Honig, ja eigentlich wie in der Nase. Klasse
Am Gaumen: Fruchtig, frisch, etwas mehr Hopfen, leichte Hefe, Bitter Orange. Traumhaft gut
Abgang: Ja der Hopfen ist jetzt recht präsent aber verflüchtigt sich auch schnell und es bleibt ein wenig Bitter Orangenmarmelade mit einem minimalen Hauch süße zurück. Super Interpretation.

Fazit: Ja was soll ich hier schreiben? Das mich dieses Pale Ale echt begeistert? Ja das tut es total.
Es ist genau diese Frische und Frucht und der dezente aber präsente Hopfen der mich begeistert. Auch das es Mandarine bis Orangen Noten sind und eben nicht Zitrus das gefällt mir echt super gut.
Dazu kommt das es diesen weichen Körper hat und doch so frisch schmeckt. Ich hör jetzt mal auf mit der Schwärmerei. ;-)

Passt dieses Bier zu einer Zigarre? Jaein – also zu den würzigen Zigarren ja. Auch wenn der Chazz Zigarillo zwar nicht stark aber doch würzig ist muss ich sagen das es super passt. Hier unterstützt sich beides. Ich schmecke noch etwas mehr Orange im Bier und auch der Zigarillo gewinnt etwas an Frucht. Super angenehm. Hätte ich nicht gedacht oder doch? ;-)

Chazz Cigarros Seleccion Dominicana
Dies ist meine erste Packung und ich muss sagen das der Stumpen echt lecker ist auch wenn der Zug mal gut mal sehr anstrengend ist. Echt lecker Smoke für die etwas verlängerte Pause (15 min)

Das Deckblatt der angenehm milden und leicht würzigen CHAZZ besteht aus Mexican Sumatra. Für das Umblatt werden ecuadorianische Tabake verwendet. Die Einlage kommt aus der Dominikanischen Republik, Brasilien (Mata Fina & Mata Norte) und Java (Besuki).

Nose: hoppy, earth, discreet fruit, floral and …. I can´t say it. The brewery says apricot my girl says passion fruit
First Sip: fresh and nicely sparkling. Hop but not too harsh, a little salt with a hint of sweetish touch
Mouth: a light sweet malty touch but gets overlain by the hop, still fresh nearly refreshing even if the hop is present but not overwhelming . Still a salty touch
At the End: hoppy bitter but fresh, a little spices and a touch of caramel sweetish touch

Conclusion: The beer really reminds me on an english Ale, it started straight away in the nose. I personally like English Beer since ma first work placement 28 years ago. A beer that is made to pair with a Burger, Steak or even roast meat with dark gravy. Nice Pale Ale this is.

This beer and a cigar? No – at least not for me. It has too much of hoppy bitterness and not enough sweetness to balance it for a cigar. But maybe you like it.

Farbe: ganz leicht trübes Gold bis Karamell – echt schön
Nase: hopfig, erdig, dezenter Frucht, blumig und etwas…ich kann es echt nicht definieren. Die Brauerei sagt Aprikose meine Freundin sagt Maracuja
Antrunk: frisch und angenehm moussierend, hopfen aber nicht zu derb, leicht salzig mit einer ganz feinen süße
Gaumen: leicht süßlicher Malz Ton der aber vom Hopfen etwas überlagert wird, weiterhin frisch fast schon erfrischend obwohl der Hopfen präsent aber nicht zu erschlagend ist. Auch wieder eine leicht salzige Note
Abgang: bitter aber frisch, leichte Kräuter Note, leichte Karamell Süße.

Fazit: Es erinnert mich tatsächlich an ein englisches Ale, das war schon in der Nase so. Ich persönlich mag englische Biere, seit ich das erste Mal vor 28 Jahren dort gearbeitet habe. Ein Bier das wunderbar zu einem Steak oder Braten mit dunkler Soße passt auch wunderbar zu einem deftigen Burger. Ganz lecker dieses Pale Ale.

Passt dieses Bier zur Zigarre? Nein – ich persönlich finde nicht so wirklich. Etwas zu bitter und zu wenig ausgleichende Süße.

Arturo Fuente „Especiales“
Diese Zigarre beschreibe ich nicht weiter da es Sie in Deutschland nicht gibt. Wer aber mal in die USA fährt und Sie einem über den Weg läuft sollte zugreifen.

Nose: like it says on the Label – mandarin, fruity, a little hop and a hint of malt
First Sip: smooth, not too much carbon acid, from mandarin to orange, a little hop and I like that
Mouth: still like the first sip, unaffected straight (?) with Orange and maybe because auf the discreet hop a little like orange zest.
At The End: smooth light, a little fruit, a little hop.

Conclusion: a nice interpretation of a Bavarian “Helles”. I like the touch of mandarin and orange and that it is not too hoppy. Maybe some other like more hop and more fruit but I like it like it is. It is more a light interpretation of a “Helles” but I like it as a thirst quencher

This beer and a Cigar? Yes – because the missing citrus (lemon) and the very less hop makes it a beer that is ok with a cigar.Ok the very light ones not but the Die Joya De Nicaragua Antano 1970 is ok with it even if I would prefer a Weissbeer with it.

Farbe: ganz leicht trübes ins Goldgelb gehende
Nase: Wie es schon auf dem Etikett sagt Mandarine, Fruchtig, etwas Hopfen und vielleicht noch ein Hauch Malz
Antrunk: süffig, nicht zuviel Kohlensäure, Mandarine bis Orange, wenig Hopfen was mir gefällt.
Am Gaumen: weiter wie im Antrunk. Unaufgeregt Gradlinig mit Orangen Noten und vielleicht sogar auf Grund der dezenten Hopfen ein ganz klein wenig wie Orangenzeste.
Abgang: süffig leicht, etwas Frucht, etwas Hopfen.

Fazit: Eine angenehme Interpretation eines Hellen. Mir gefällt der Mandarine und Orangen Geschmack mit wenig Hopfen. Für mich sehr angenehm. Manch anderer mag sagen das es ihm zu wenig Hopfen oder zu wenig Frucht Noten hat. Ja es ist eher die leichte Interpretation eines Hellen aber es ist ein sehr guter Durstlöscher. Schönes Bier

Passt dieses Bier zur Zigarre? Ja – Gerade die fehlenden Zitronen Noten und der wenige Einsatz von Hopfen macht es aus das eine Zigarre zu diesem Bier passt. Bei den milden muß es jeder für sich entscheiden aber auch hier könnte ich es mir vorstellen. Die Joya De Nicaragua Antano 1970 kann man ohne Probleme dazu rauchen wobei ich Sie mir eher zu einem Weißbier oder einem etwas süßerem Bier vorstelle.

Brewery says: Ziggy #5 Floods the senses with waves of tropical bliss that the hop variety El Dorado brings with it. Flavors of watermelon and bright stone fruits get a fine addition through the mosaic hops through resin and citrus notes.

This is my first Ziggy at all. I start straight away with the #5.

Color: cloudy light Amber a little into gold yellow
Nose: Grapefruit, earth, and yes a little resin I smell, yeast, my nose says a little passion fruit, a fine touch of malt. Delicious I like to drink know.
First Sip: Citrus, nicely sparkling, a little earth, fruity, hop, a touch malt
Mouth: little malt, hop, spices, Citrus fruit, yeast, a very little caramel without being sweet. Yummy I like it.
At the End: Fruity and hoppy but the hop is not slaying bitter. Also I have some yeast on my tongue.

Conclusion: A fine late spring / summer beer. It has a smooth but fizzy body. Very nice. The fruit gets away after a while and the hop takes over but even not to strong as some other IPA. A great bier for grilled Veggie or Salad with a little more tasty dressing and some meat cut into strips as a topping.

This beer and a cigar? No – at least I would say so. Citrus and hop are a little too much for a cigar. It would be a waste of a very good beer and a cigar.

Brauerei: Ziggy #5 überflutet die Sinne mit Wellen tropischer Wonne, die die Hopfensorte El Dorado mit sich bringt. Aromen von Wassermelone und hellen Steinfrüchten bekommen durch den Mosaic Hopfen noch eine feine Ergänzung durch Harz-und Zitrus Noten.

Ich habe vorher noch keins der Ziggy getrunken. Ich starte direkt mit der #5. Fest steht das bei jedem Sud eine andere Hopfenauswahl zum Einsatz kommt. Das Grundrezept ansonsten aber gleich bleibt.

Farbe: trüber heller Bernstein leicht ins Goldgelb
Nase: Grapefruit, erdig, ja Harz nehme ich wahr, Hefe, meine Nase sagt etwas Maracuja, ein feiner Hauch Malz. Lecker mag jetzt trinken ;-)
Antrunk: Zitrus, schön moussierend, etwas Erde, fruchtig, Hopfen, ganz fein malzig
Gaumen: leicht Malz, Hopfen, Gewürze, Zitrusfrucht, Hefe, ein ganz wenig Karamell ohne süß zu sein. Lecker schmeckt mir gut.
Abgang: Fruchtig hopfig wobei der Hopfen präsent ist aber nicht erschlagend bitter. Aber auch Hefe ist auf der Zunge.

Fazit: Ein wunderbares Spät Frühlingsbier/ Sommerbier. Das einen schönen weichen und doch moussierenden Körper hat. Sehr angenehm. Die Frucht Noten verlieren sich mit der Zeit und es mehr der Hopfen auf der Zunge aber eben nicht derb. Tolles Bier zum gegrillten Gemüse und vielleicht deftigeren Salaten.

Passt dieses Bier zur Zigarre? Nein nicht nach meinem Geschmack. Zitrusfrucht und Hopfen ist für die Zigarre etwas zu viel. Es wäre schade um das Bier und die Zigarre.

Erstes Drittel: Perfekter Zug, vollmundig, würzig, Lakritz, Pfeffer, Schokolade, Honig süße, leichte Espresso Noten, schöner voller Rauch, etwas Toast.

Zweites Drittel: Perfekter Zug, Kaffee, erdig, würzig aber leicht nachlassend, Schokolade, leichter Pfeffer, kalter Kaffee, cremig Süß, leichte Zimt Noten, Walnuss, Choco Cookies.

Color: beautiful dark brown or mahogany
Nose: very nice discreet sweetish roasted malt paired with fresh dark bread. A hint of dried fruit, chocolate. WUNDERBAR
First Sip: smooth, caramel, still the discreet sweetish roasted malt, chocolate, a hint of hop. Yummy
Mouth: discreet carbon acid, perfect mix of malt and hop in which the hop is more less. Nice 60% chocolate. The sweet is fine and not slaying. Perfect
At the End: caramel, malt, sweetish bitter, the malt stays long on the tongue. The taste reminds me a little on chewed dark bread (not rye bread)

Conclusion: a nice interpretation of a classic German Bavarian dark beer. It is not as sweet as some others and also not as malty as some other. It has less carbon acid as others of it´s kind but that makes it nice and smooth. Great beer and i´m looking forward to taste the other Tilmans beer. The start was SUPER

This beer and a cigar? Yes – the only thing i´m not sure about is with the very light ones but with the Balmoral “Anejo XO” it´s a perfect pairing. Very nice beer and a dream of a cigar.

Was sofort bei Tilman Bieren auffällt sind die künstlerisch gestalteten Etiketten und genauso ist es auch. Auf jeder Sorte ist ein anderer Künstler. Dieser Künstler ist: Maki Shimizu - www.makishimizu.de

Farbe: wunderschönes dunkles Braun oder Mahagoni
Nase: schöne dezente süßliche Röstmalz Aromen gepaart mit dunklem Brot, ein Tick Dörrobst, Schokolade. WUNDERBAR
Antrunk: süffig, Karamell, weiter schöne dezente süßliche Röstmalz Note, Schokolade, ein winziger Hauch von Hopfen. Lecker
Am Gaumen: Dezente Kohlensäure, perfekter Mix aus Malz und Hopfen wobei der Hopfen dezenter ist. Schöne 60% Schokolade. Die süße ist fein und nicht erschlagend, perfekt.
Abgang: Karamell, Malz, süßlich herb, lange bleibt der Malzgeschmack dezent auf der Zunge. Ein klein wenig erinnert mich der Geschmack an gekautes dunkles Brot (nicht Roggen).

Fazit: Eine schöne Interpretation des klassischen dunklen bayrischen Bieres. Es hat nicht die süße die manch anderes hat auch ist es nicht so malzig wie manch anderer. Es hat etwas weniger Kohlensäure und das macht es wunderbar süffig. Tolles Bier und ich freue mich schon darauf die anderen Tilmans Biere zu testen. Der Anfang war schon mal SUPER.

Passt dieses Bier zur Zigarre? Ja – wobei ich bei den ganz milden es auf einen Test ankommen lassen würde. Ich bin mir ehrlich nicht ganz sicher ob es passt. Die Balmoral „Anejo XO“ passt aber perfekt zu diesem Bier. Wunderbares Bier mit einer traumhaft guten Zigarre.

Triple Style Belgian Beer von der Bitburger brewery. Bitburger is quite a very big German brewery. Is a big brewery able to brew a good craftbeer?

Color: cloudy Amber
Nose: Nice Fruit, yeast, caramel, a touch Honey, a very little clove and a very little sour touch
First Sip: smooth, fruity, a touch of Lemon and orange, yeast, caramel, honey, nice carbon acid and you hardly taste the 9% alc.
Mouth: tasty, you taste the hop but not too dominant, a little spices, Banana, yeast sweetish
At the End: Now you have a nice mix of hop and fruit und you really taste the hop, The fruity taste chances a little to a sweetish touch, Still a lot of yeast, also a spicy touch. Really good

Conclusion: I am very positively surprised. Craftwerk (Bitburger) has gotten to brew a craftbeer and one that really deserves the name Craftbeer. I personally find it even really good and it will not be my last. But watch out after a while you feel the 9% alc.

This beer and a cigar? Yes – but like often with beers with a hop touch at the end it´s more for the strong cigars or the medium ones starting at the second have to enjoy this beer.

Ramon Allones Edicion Limitada 2015
For me, the Ramon Allones is one of the best Cuban cigars. Too bad that this traditional brand has only so few formats. I have now smoked one of the 2015 and yes it nice but however it will disappear now for at least 2-3 years in the depths of the humidor

Triple Style Belgian Beer von der Bitburger Brauerei. Da bin ich echt mal gespannt ob Bitburger es mit seiner Craftbeer Marke gut oder vielleicht richtig gut hin bekommt. Ich gebe zu das ich nach dem Versuch einer anderen deutschen Großbrauerei und deren Craftbeer versuchen sehr septisch bin.
Aber gut schauen wir mal.

Farbe: Trüber Bernstein
Nase: Schöne Frucht, Hefe, Karamell, vielleicht ein Hauch Honig, Hauch Nelke und ganz fein eine säuerliche Note
Antrunk: weich, Frucht, ein Hauch Zitrus aber auch Orange, Hefe, Karamell, Honig, schöne Kohlensäure, die 9% sind fast nicht zu spüren.
Am Gaumen: süffig, der Hopfen ist klar aber nicht zu dominant vorhanden, leicht würzig, Banane, Hefe, süßlich.
Abgang: hier merkt man den Mix aus Frucht und Hopfen am deutlichsten. Die Frucht wandelt sich in mehr Süße ist aber noch vorhanden. Auch die Hefe bleibt. Am Anfang sogar Gewürz Noten. Echt gut

Fazit: Ich bin sehr positiv überrascht. Craftwerk (Bitburger) hat es hin bekommen ein Craftbeer zu brauen und zwar eins das auch wirklich den Namen Craftbeer verdient hat. Ich persönlich finde es sogar richtig gut und es wird nicht mein letztes gewesen sein. Aber Vorsicht-beim Schreiben des Reviews merkt man dann doch sehr schnell die 9% alk.

Passt dieses Bier zu Zigarre? Ja – aber wie so oft bei Bieren die doch etwas Hopfen Bitterkeit auf der Zunge hinterlassen eher zu den kräftigeren bzw. mittel kräftigen ab der Hälfte.

Ramon Allones Edicion Limitada 2015
Für mich ist die Ramon Allones von Haus aus eine der besten kubanischen Zigarren. Schade das diese Traditionelle Marke nur noch so wenig Formate hat. Ich habe jetzt mal eine von den 2015 geraucht und ja es geht aber die verschwinden jetzt für mindestens 2-3 Jahre in den Tiefen des Humidor.

Vancouver meets Berlin: The Steamworks team smuggled real Canadian maple wood over the atlantic, over which the malt was ultimately simmered. The first collaboration beer from Steamworks and BRLO from the brand new BRLO brewery in Berlin!

Color: gold yellow to toffee
Nose: nice malty aroma with a hint of smoke and caramel as well as little banana. NICE
First Sip: very round and well balanced, perfect balanced carbon acid, malty sweetish, full-bodied, Very very Nice
Mouth: caramel, malty, a little banana, a little smoke, spices, also you can feel a very little the alcohol but as it is Weizenbock it suits perfectly. YUMMY
At the End: now you get the smoke but still not overwhelming it´s more discreet, also the hop comes out now and even that is there but discreet again. Even with the smoke and the hop you still have a typical Weissbeer sweetish touch. Nice

Conclusion: Again a great Beer from BRLO and Steamworks. I tried the beer the first time in Feb. at the Braukunst Live Trade fair in Munich and I hardly could taste the smoke but I would say it was because I had some beer before. I have to agree with Herbert from Steamworks Europe the smoke is nicely discreet in the beer. I liked it this time even more as on my first taste. But I will call it version 2016 or 1.0. Because I would like to have just a little touch more smoke in it. Not as much as some German Rauchbier but as I say a little more. But on the other hand I like more smoke others just thing it´s perfect. So just try it !!!

This beer and a cigar? Yes and I would say even the light cigars start at the half or last third. The beer has not too much hop not too much smoke it´s still a Weissbeer. And a Weissbier fits well with a cigar. Try it yourself.

Vegas Robaina Unicos
If you have a chance to grab some, go for it. Don´t go always for the classic Cuban ones like Cohiba etc.

Steamworks and BRLO Collab Maple Smoked Weizenbock 6,5% vol.

Vancouver meets Berlin: Das Steamworks-Team schmuggelte echtes kanadisches Ahornholz über den großen Teich, über dem schließlich das Malz gesmoked wurde. Das erste Collaboration Bier von Steamworks und BRLO aus der brandneuen BRLO Brauerei in Berlin!

Farbe: Goldgelb mit einem Karamell Ton
Nase: angenehme malzige Note mit einem etwas rauch und Karamell sowie leichte Banane
Antrunk: sehr rund und ausgeglichen, perfekte Einsatz von Kohlensäure, ,malzig süßlich, vollmundig. Sau lecker
Am Gaumen: Karamell, malzig, etwas Banane, leichter Rauchansatz, leicht würzig. Minimal nimmt man die 6,5% zur Kenntnis. Yummy
Abgang: jetzt ist der Rauch gut aber immer noch dezent zu schmecken, etwas Hopfen gesellt sich dazu, weich und vollmundig. Trotz des Rauch und dem Hopfen bleibt eine dezente Weißbier typische süße erhalten. SUPER

Fazit: Wieder ein echt lecker Bier von BRLO und Steamworks. Ich hatte dieses Bier schon auf der Braukunst Live in München getrunken und konnte den Rauch kaum schmecken das lag aber daran das ich schon andere Biere im Vorfeld hatte. Diesmal muß ich Herbert von Steamworks recht geben der Rauch ist schön dezent vorhanden. Ich finds echt klasse. Ich nenne dieses Bier trotzdem mal Version 2016 oder 1.0. Denn ich bleibe dabei ein klein bisschen mehr Rauch könnte es vertragen um sich auch wirklich Smoked zu nennen. Aber was mir einen Hauch zu wenig ist mag für einen anderen dann zu viel werden. So bleibt mir nur zusagen das dieses eine hervorragendes Bier ist, ich es wirklich sehr lecker finde und unbedingt probieren solltet wenn es noch zu bekommen ist. (Bei Steamworks auf der Homepage gibt es das noch)

Passt dieses Bier zur Zigarre? JA und ich mag sogar behaupten das es zu milden Zigarren ab der hälfte passen könnte. Wenig Hopfen, dezente süße und nicht zu viel Malz mit dem leichten Rauch Aroma passen sehr gut meiner Meinung nach. Probiert es einmal selber.
